All log lines need to convey information about character, conflict and goals. This template contains some key elements of a successful log line and helps you workshop the ideas into a neat way to describe your story.

Define your protagonist. What is their role?

Use an adjective to define your protagonist

What is your protagonist's goal?

Describe the antagonist. This can either be a villain or a force that holds your main character back.

What action does the protagonist take to achieve their goal? Is there a time by which this must be accomplished? Sometimes a time element can work to raise the stakes.

Is there a specific set-up to the story? Or a background to your character's life you need to mention?

Is there anything specific that may make people interest in this story?
